Elysium
A saga of Sea, Sand and Nature’s
Splendour
Nestled between Mtwalume and Ifafa Beach, you will find
the
small
village of Elysium sporting both residential and
holiday
homes.
Wake up to the breathtaking sight of the sun rising over
the sea -
and after a wonderfully relaxing day; sip your sundowners
to the
sound of the surf gently breaking on the shore.
A day on the beach
Take a stroll along winding pathways through lush, coastal
bush to
Elysium beach. No formal trails or hikes have been laid
out
in this
area, but the beach has a never-ending supply of walking
possibilities.
This stretch of unspoilt coast is secure and ideal for
fishing, particularly
during the “sardine run”. Today fishermen can
once more
land their first shad in twenty minutes, unlike previously
when they
might have waited for hours.
So if you are up to it, cast your rod into the sea in the
hopes of
catching some fresh fish for supper.
Beachcombing and shelling
Head for this quieter, less developed beach where you will
find plenty
of shells washed up, but tides and pounding seas sometimes
frustrate
the amateur collector.
