Whale Watching and Dolphin Watching
Experience the wonder of
seeing the dolphins at
play and catch a close-up
glimpse of whales making
their way to their breeding
grounds in the north.
Whale watching takes
place from June through
to November although the
best time is June and July
which co-incides with the
sardine run. Boats launch
from Shelly Beach and the
trip lasts some 60 to 90
minutes.
During the summer
shark net tours are run,
where the function of the
shark nets is highlighted.
